Our organic Original Tea Bags are our traditional Chai blend Using organic black tea, and our unique and original combination Of spices. We have sourced the best organic spices to bring the true flavour out.

We use no artifical flavours or oils in our teabags – you get real tea and real spices Convenience with compromising the taste of real chai 20 Sealed Enveloped Tea Bags.

We use oxygen bleached paper tea bags. No staples are used in our tea bags. Our tea bags are completely compostable using paper bags unlike nylon infusor pod bags used in some products.

Why individually wrap each teabag with plastic?

Thank you for your love for Hari Har Chai and your concern for the environment.

The question is how much plastic is used to individually wrap each teabag compared to the plastic for wrapping the outside of the box. It is a packaging requirement to sell in the supermarkets to have this plastic/freshness seal either on the bag or around the box. Testing it, this in fact uses around the same amount of plastic either way.

The beauty of the individually wrapped bags is that once the box is open the individual teabags hold their own freshness, the individual bags can be taken anywhere anytime and still have a fresh sealed chai one hand. Please be reassured that we are doing our best to look at the best alternative solution to the plastic and continue to work to the betterment of our product and the environment. The best biodegradable freshness packaging available at present can only hold a shelf life of six months. We are continually testing this so your packaging will be biodegradable and compostable.

Otherwise we do have a certified organic looseleaf chai or conventional looseleaf which is easy and quick to prepare in a coffee plunger/ infuser pot /infuser.
